This is more of a 3。5 rating。 I did not enjoy this one as much as the first two。 Some of it was hard to follow。 Much of the action in this book follows from and is related to events in the two previous books—without much retelling or back story。 The ending was surprising but felt a bit contrived。 Still a fun read。

This book is in a series of 3 and I would have to say it is my least favorite of the series。 The characters are still witty and loveable but I found myself not enjoying the scenery as much as I did the others。 This book takes place at the police academy and therefore there was not much to work with in terms of real life living and I think that is what kind of turned me off from it。 Her other books were more realistic with day to day actions and we got to feel more connected with the single mom t This book is in a series of 3 and I would have to say it is my least favorite of the series。 The characters are still witty and loveable but I found myself not enjoying the scenery as much as I did the others。 This book takes place at the police academy and therefore there was not much to work with in terms of real life living and I think that is what kind of turned me off from it。 Her other books were more realistic with day to day actions and we got to feel more connected with the single mom trying to juggle everything。 The concept was intriguing it just didn't hit the spot for me。 Also unlike the second book in this series I also felt like this book needs to be read in the order of the series and could not be a stand alone。 There is just too much explaining that needed to be done and it wasn't written out as much, which is fine because it is a book in a series and therefore better read in the series。 ***SPOILER ALERT***I still enjoyed all the characters and the build up between Nick and Finlay along with the tease of Jullian throughout but this book fell flat on the spice。 Steven was barely in it and when he was I felt as though his parts were forced and definitely thrown in to build up for the next book。 I missed the banter between all the characters in that form。 Also Nick and Finlay FINALLY get together and it didn't feel spicy or romantic to me。 I wanted more after we pined for 2 books。 I loved all the twists and the ups and downs of deciding who was EasyClean。 With that being said I do wish Stu was featured more so we could warm more up to the idea of him。 The other action parts throughout the book (Gym scene, going to Carl's grave) felt rushed and disorganized and hard to follow to me。 With that being said it is a good possibility that this book is more of a build up for the next one。 I am definitely intrigued for the next one after the ending with Javi and the whole Charlie working for both sides in this book so I can't say I am complaining about it。 Overall her books are some of my favorite thriller comical books。 Very relatable and you will be laughing while also being in a state of fear (like will Finaly or Vero die?!) Overall pleased with the writing style and was a quick read for me! I enjoyed some parts but others felt flat for me and when comparing between the other two this one was my least favorite。 。。。more
